You wouldn’t mind playing here.
It’s not often that yours truly gets to play on a brilliant pitch, I’m more familiar with pitches that are 90% muck and 10% grass, but I was afforded an opportunity to grace an incredible Astro Turf pitch during a recent trip to New York.
I figured that a bit of exercise was required after an insane amount of pints and junk food but this pitch in the Bushwick Inlet Park, Brooklyn is absolutely stellar.
Before you ask, the answer is yes. I used the beautiful surroundings as a ready-made excuse for any feck-ups that I made during the match.
