There has been a lot of debate recently about the levels of commitment required to play GAA in Ireland, mostly because of the controversial comments by Stephen Hunt.
If ever anybody needed proof about the commitment levels of inter-county GAA players, the Westmeath footballers gave a very real indication of what is expected and needed.
With no offence intended to the Westmeath players or indeed their very loyal supporters, the Leinster side would hardly be considered forerunners for Sam Maguire next September but yet they still have to put in the same levels of commitment.
