We’ve a feeling a goal from a certain Arsenal midfielder will take some beating this week.
Thanks to Nissan, Official Partner of the UEFA Champions League, football fans can win an official Nissan/UEFA Champions League merchandise pack every Champions League matchweek simply by voting for their favourite strike from the games played that week.
The final matchweek of the group stages supplied the usual quota of great goals, with efforts from Neymar, Samir Nasri, Steven Gerrard and Alejandro Domínguez standing out.
Our choice, however, would have to be Aaron Ramsey’s stupendous strike for Arsenal against Galatasaray, the type of goal you see once or twice a year if you’re lucky.
The shot didn’t even look on when Ramsey threw his left foot at the ball from about 30 yards out and then everyone watched in awe as it flew into the top corner at a tremendous speed.
