Conor McGregor and Cristiano Ronaldo are perhaps two of the most divisive athletes in the world.
They’ve also both been through the ringer in recent months, with McGregor’s loss to Nate Diaz and Ronaldo’s unfortunate injury in the opening minutes of Portugal’s Euro 2016 Final win over France.
Recent pictures of the two men training together, however, are a reminder of the champion status that they have achieved in their chosen field.
We do have to say that Ronaldo’s choice of runners (and baseball cap) might not benefit him all that well in the Octagon, however…

McGregor was complimentary of Ronaldo on Instagram, but also had a cheeky little dig at the Real Madrid talisman – saying “I will see you for that Forbes number 1 spot next year”.
