They love us over there apparently.
Irish fans are in the headlines again over in France as the French public continue their love affair with the Green Army.
We suppose they’ve seen the clip of fans singing a lullaby to a baby and pictures of them changing tires for an elderly couple. This has probably helped with the fan’s image.
The daily French sports paper L’Equipe has dedicated two pages in celebration of the Irish fans and what they’ve brought to the tournament.
Here is that 2-page spread in @lequipe. Basically it says Irish fans are a great bunch of lads. #IRLITA pic.twitter.com/mJnATBYmTC

“In the cities, they sang, drank, danced and left leaving smiles on all faces,” the article states.
“Supporters of the Republic and Northern Ireland are disputing the title of public affection at Euro 2016 with their good humour.
“When some were being filmed singing to the glory of the French police in Bordeaux, others spread their good humor to the end of the Lyon night after historic victory against Ukraine (2-0).”
Basically, the two pages state that they’re all a great bunch, and we’re pretty sure that neutrals will be hoping we pull off a result tonight.
