PICS: Limerick office suspends a football pitch from its ceiling ahead of Euro 2016

Tony Cuddihy

This is how you get into the spirit of things.

It’s June, in case you hadn’t noticed, and we’re just 12 days from the start of Ireland’s Euro 2016 campaign against Sweden in Paris.

We’re expecting to see houses painted, banners on the streets, flags hanging from windows and green, white and gold milkshakes by the bucketload over the next month and this office in Limerick is kicking things off nicely.

They’ve suspended a football pitch from their ceiling.

Anne O’Donoghue writes: “As part of Euro fever at where I work, in a Leisure Centre in Askeaton, Co Limerick, we have suspended a soccer pitch from the ceiling to help people get into the Euro2016 spirit.

“It looks pretty cool!

“And we are running a special Euros 3 month membership for €99, where we will add on an extra week for every goal Ireland score in the tournament (excluding penos).”
