Arsenal versus Manchester United is still a game that whets the appetite… even it doesn’t affect the destination of the Premier League title like it once did.
Both sides have suffered from inconsistency this season, partially due to terrible luck with injuries. Their problems continue this weekend as several first team players from both sides are out injured.
Arsenal are without Mathieu Debuchy, Mesut Ozil and Abou Diaby, while Olivier Giroud and Mikel Arteta will have to prove their fitness prior to the game.
Manchester United will be without Radamel Falcao, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo, Rafael and Jesse Lingard and there are also concerns over the availability of Luke Shaw, Michael Carrick, Angel di Maria and Jonny Evans .
It will be a case of who can cope better with those absences and our money is on Arsenal. United are yet to pick up a win on the road this season, losing two and drawing three of their five away games.
Despite the perceived improvement under Louis Van Gaal, 16 points from 11 league games is United’s worst return for 25 years. JOE reckons their depleted side will struggle to deal with Alexis Sanchez, who has scored 12 goals in his last 14 matches for the Gunners.
Our prediction is 1-0 to the Arsenal, with Sanchez scoring. Ladbrokes are offering a price of 30/1 for this eventuality.
