Newcastle United and Mario Balotelli have had their own individual problems over the last few years but maybe two negatives make a positive.
That seems to be the thinking at the north east club because reports this morning suggest they’ve made a loan move for the Liverpool striker.
These crazy rumours could be easily dismissed but the story originated in the Liverpool Echo who are usually pretty reliable when it comes to news on Merseyside.
Balotelli’s future with the Reds is non-existent and Newcastle are on the look out for a striker so we won’t rule anything out.
It would be amazing if it did happen because it would almost certainly end in tears.
However, this is a reminder of what the 24-year old can do, he might be worth a punt.
