Reports today from the BBC suggest the two-time Formula 1 champ Sebastian Vettel is set to move from Red Bull Racing to rival team Ferrari for the 2014 season.

It looks as though Sebastian Vettel, 25, has used his Red Bull wings to fly over to Ferrari as the F1 ace is set to join the Italian outfit in 2014. Sources inside Ferrari say they have signed a contract with Vettel with an option to join in 2014 depending on their results. So once they don’t have a disastrous season next year the German will be all theirs.

Now, it’s not as if Seb simply walked into the position. He actually had to get the approval of Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso as Alonso gets to have a say in who his teammate is – well for some. Alonso actually vetoed the idea of bringing Englishman Lewis Hamilton into the picture earlier this year (here’s why) so Seb will surely be glad that things aren’t too bitter between himself and Alonso, well for now.

However, that lack of bitterness might not last because there are only six points separating the two in this year’s Championship, so if Ferrari manage to keep their points up and they bag Seb they’ll certainly have the best two drivers on the grid.

As for Alonso himself, the Spaniard has signed a contract that will see him staying with the Italian team until 2016.
