The saga takes another turn…
Conor McGregor is fit and willing to fight at UFC 205 in Madison Square Garden in November according to a report from MMA Fighting.
News began circulating last night, following a report from UFC Tonight, that McGregor wasn’t an option for the fight card in November on account to an injury he suffered during his last outing against Nate Diaz at UFC 202.
However, MMA Fighting dispute this and claim that multiple sources have informed them that The Notorious is not nursing an injury and he’s healthy and already training.
The only fight that interests McGregor is a match up with the 155lbs champion Eddie Alvarez, but Alvarez claims he hasn’t been offered the fight.
Alvarez has been offered a chance to face Khabib Nurmagomedov to defend his belt but his preference is clearly a big money fight with McGregor.
This is not the first time The Notorious has been keen to jump classes and fight for the lightweight title with his original fight with then lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos back in March forced to be pulled due to injury to the Brazilian.
Nate Diaz stepped in and we all know how that turned out…
UFC 205 does not yet have an official main event.
