Martin O’Neill has named his side to face Scotland at Parkhead in tonight’s crucial match against Scotland and there’s a surprise omission up front.
Shane Long has been given the nod to start as Ireland’s record goalscorer drops to the bench.

As expected Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick partners Darron Gibson at the base of midfield while Aiden McGeady is expected to start the game in the No 10 role as he did in Gelsenkirchen.
