Not long to go now, baby!
RTÉ have unveiled full details of their Euro 2016 coverage across TV, radio, online and mobile.
The action kicks-off in the opening game between France v Romania on 10 June but the big draw for the station is that they’ll be broadcasting all three of the Republic of Ireland’s games against Sweden, Belgium and Italy. The national broadcaster will be showing 20 group games in total, five round-of-16 games, two quarter-finals, both semi-finals and shared live coverage of the final itself.
Darragh Maloney will anchor RTÉ2’s live coverage with Damien Duff joining the famous team of panellists including John Giles, Eamon Dunphy, Liam Brady, Richie Sadlier, and Didi Hamann with Ray Houghton, Ronnie Whelan, Brian Kerr and Jim Beglin on commentary duty alongside George Hamilton and Ger Canning, Stephen Alkin and John Kenny.

Each evening of the tournament RTÉ2 will also have a full highlights programme presented by Jacqui Hurley and Aidan Power with panellists including former Ireland internationals Kenny Cunningham and Clinton Morrison. The Irish internationals Stephanie Roche and Niamh Fahey will also be providing their expert opinions.
Joining Tony O’Donoghue on the ground in France will be Dave Kelly and Daire O’Brien, with all three reporting from in and around the Irish camp as well as giving a flavour of the Ireland fan experience in France for RTÉ2, RTÉ News and RTÉ radio.
This year’s coverage will also see Irish language commentary available for TV viewers and of course Après Match will be along to give their hilarious insights throughout the tournament.
In addition to the coverage on RTÉ2 television, RTÉ Radio 1 will have all of the Republic of Ireland’s group games live with Adrian Eames and Brian Kerr on commentary plus daily newsdesks with all the latest from the Irish camps and the wider tournament on both RTÉ Radio 1 and 2fm.
