Lance Armstrong took the time to change his Twitter bio last night and there are a few none-too-minor details markedly different than before.

Armstrong’s reputation has continued to take a battering this week after the UCI announced yesterday that he would be stripped of his seven Tour de France titles, following on from the USADA revelations that the Texan orchestrated the “the most sophisticated, professionalised and successful doping programme that sport has ever seen”.

Following the UCI’s decision, Armstrong didn’t wait long to change his Twitter bio accordingly as sometime in the early hours of this morning, it changed from “Father of 5 amazing kids, 7-time Tour de France winner, full time cancer fighter, part time triathlete” to “Raising my five kids. Fighting Cancer. Swim, bike, run and golf whenever I can”.

The change in bio marks Armstrong’s only Twitter activity of late as he hasn’t sent a tweet since October 12, although he has retweeted two posts from the Livestrong account relating to a bike ride in Austin and his decision to step down as chairman of the foundation.

The rest of the world is talking about Armstrong, but his silence is speaking volumes at the moment.
