Loads of Irish interest in Baku today, including plenty of swimming and the great Katie Taylor’s quest to win yet another medal and put even more pressure on her mantelpiece.

Super Rugby semi-finals: Hurricanes v Brumbies, Waratahs v Highlanders, Sky Sports 1, 8.15am

Rugby folk in the know will often say that the club scene in the southern hemisphere is superior to what we have here and you can judge for yourself during the semi-finals of the Super Rugby competition early on Saturday morning.

The Hurricanes take on the Brumbies in Wellington and the Waratahs entertain the Highlanders in Sydney, looking to defend the title they won in dramatic fashion last season.

Copa America quarter-final, Argentina v Colombia, Setanta Sports 1, 7.50pm

Lionel Messi has won everything there is to win at club level with Barcelona, but he’s yet to win any trophy of significance with Argentina.

If he can help his country win three games in this year’s Copa America then he’ll have ticked that box, starting with a cracking-looking encounter with Colombia in the last eight.

Boxing from the Echo Arena in Liverpool, where Rocky Fielding takes on Brian Vera for the WBC international Super Middleweight title.

Copa America quarter-final, Brazil v Paraguay, Setanta Sports 1, 10.20pm

Not having Neymar turned out to be a pretty big handicap for Brazil in the knockout stages of last year’s World Cup, but will it be the same old story this time around?

Not much in the way of Irish interest today, but who doesn’t love a bit of beach soccer, Judo, BMX and Volleyball of a Sunday afternoon? Once again, Setanta will have pretty much every base covered throughout the day.

Live European Tour Golf, Sky Sports 3, 12.30pm

The final day of the BMW International Open in Munich. It doesn’t quite set pulses racing like the US Open did last weekend, but not bad fare for a Sunday on the couch all the same.

The Sunday Game Live, Westmeath v Meath, Dublin v Kildare, 1.30pm

The much-maligned Leinster Championship takes centre stage this Sunday and gets the opportunity to show that maybe it’s not so bad after all in front of the RTE cameras.

Kildare will have a mammoth task trying to dethone Dublin in the second game, while the winners of the first one will likely have to face the Dubs in the Leinster Final.

Can they be stopped?

The final day of the Travelers Championship in Connecticut, kicking off at 6pm. It’ll kill a few hours before The Sunday Game if nothing else.

Des Cahill and the Sunday Game crew will look back over a big weekend of football action, with provincial semi-finals in Leinster and Ulster all under the microscope, as well as a host of games in the first round of the qualifiers.
