All your weekend’s sport on the box, in one handy place.
Saturday
Hungarian Grand Prix Qualifying, Sky Sports 1, 12pm, BBC One, 12.10pm
All the action from the Hungaroring in Budapest. Nico Rosberg claimed pole here last year and he could do with doing so again to try to get an edge on Championship leader Lewis Hamilton ahead of tomorrow’s race.
Tour de France Live, TG4, 12.05pm
Controversy has once again descended on the Tour off the bike, as scrutiny on leader Chris Froome increases amidst something of a PR blunder from Team Sky.
On the bike, the participants tackle their fourth consecutive mountain stage on the penultimate day of the race, a 110km trek from Modane to Alpe d’Huez.
Rugby Championship, South Africa v New Zealand, Sky Sports 1, 3.30pm
Following a narrow loss to Australia last weekend, South Africa will be looking to get their first win of the competition on Saturday.
The only problem is, they’re taking on New Zealand, who were comfortable 21-point winners over Argentina first time out.
World Cup 2018 Preliminary Draw, RTE 2, 3.55pm
It’s bite your nails time for the Boys in Green, who are likely to face a tough draw to qualify for the World Cup in Russia in 2018 as our freefall down the rankings has us seeded in Pot 4 for Saturday’s draw.
Conceivably, we could be drawn with Wales, Iceland and Northern Ireland.
On the other hand, we could get Germany, Italy and Poland.
Cross those fingers, lads.
All-Ireland Football Qualifiers, Westmeath v Fermanagh, Cork v Kildare, Sky Sports 3, 4.30pm
Westmeath and Fermanagh battle it out for a spot in the quarter-finals that would represent huge progress for either side, while in Semple Stadium, Cork will look to recover from their Munster Final disappointment with a victory over a resurgent Kildare.
The prize for Cork (if they win), if you can call it that, is a quarter-final against the Dubs at Croke Park.
Ladies Gaelic Football, Cavan v Down, Armagh v Laois, TG4, 4.30pm
The lads and ladies are in action simultaneously so fans of both codes will be busy channel-hopping well into the evening. Cavan take on Down and Armagh clash with Laois in Clones, with coverage starting on TG4 at 4.30pm.
Live PGA Tour Golf, Sky Sports 4, 7pm
It’s a bit of a comedown from The Open last weekend, but if you must get your golf fix, you can catch Day Three of the 2015 RBC Canadian Open from the Glen Abbey Golf Course in Ontario.
International Champions Cup, Chelsea v Paris St. Germain, Sky Sports 1, 10.50pm
With less than two weeks to go until the start of the Premier League season, it will be interesting to see how the Champions up are shaping up ahead of their title defence.
Plus, any time we get to see Zlatan in action is a bonus.
Rugby Championship, Argentina v Australia, Sky Sports 3, 11.30pm
The Wallabies will be looking to make it two out of two after beating the Springboks last weekend, but after a long trek to South America, they won’t have it easy against their passionate hosts.
Sunday
Live European Tour Golf, Sky Sports 4, 10am
An early Sunday morning for golf fans who want to catch up on the final day’s action at the Omega European Masters in Switzerland.
Hungarian Grand Prix Live, Sky Sports 1, 12pm, BBC One, 12.15pm
Lewis Hamilton will be looking to make it three victories from four outings at the Hungaroring and tighten his grip on the 2015 Driver’s Championship. Can he be stopped?
The Sunday Game Live, All-Ireland Hurling Quarter-Finals, Waterford v Dublin, Galway v Cork, RTE 2, 1.30pm
It’s sh*t or get off the pot time in the All-Ireland Hurling Championship, which will be down to the last four following events in Thurles on Sunday.
Cork and Dublin have been building momentum through the qualifiers but both their opponents have shown enough so far this year to suggest they’re capable of challenging the big boys in Croke Park.
A fascinating day of hurling awaits.
Tour de France Live, TG4, 3.10pm
Coverage of the final day of the 2015 Tour as the riders travel from Sevres to Paris, culminating in one of the most iconic finales in sport, the sprint down the Champs-Elysees to cap it all off.
The Sunday Game, RTE 2, 9.30pm
Loads of hurling and football to catch up as Des and the gang look back on a weekend in which the men were separated from the boys in the big and small ball championships.
