St. Vincent’s through to All-Ireland club final after beating Ballinderry

They'll face Castlebar Mitchels in the final.

St. Vincent’s are through to face Castlebar Mitchels in the All-Ireland Club SFC final after a virtuoso performance from Tomas Quinn helped them to a 2-14 to 1-13 win over Ballinderry on Saturday night.

The Dublin side were fastest out of the traps as goals from Quinn and Ciaran Dorney scored the early goals that ultimately proved Ballinderry’s undoing.

St. Vincent’s led by a point – 2-04 to 0-09 – at the break Diarmuid Connolly hit three from play in the second half.

Daniel McKinless’ goal for the Derry men after 48 minutes gave them renewed hope of getting back into the game, but Quinn and Connolly proved the difference as they ensured their passage to the final next month.
