Still want to go the Euros? Uefa are making some last-minute tickets available next week

So you’re telling me there’s a chance?

Ridiculous demand meant that not all Irish fans who wanted tickets to Euro 2016 group games were able to get their hands on them, but if you were one of the unlucky ones, all hope is not lost yet.

The FAI announced this afternoon that a Uefa ticket portal will open next Tuesday, April 26, at 11am, where fans can purchase tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.

The tickets have become available through a number of sources.

Fans of some competing countries haven’t taken up their full allocation, while Uefa were able to provide more tickets as the layouts of the stadia have become clearer and through their successful legal efforts to cancel tickets as a result of the breach of the ticketing terms and conditions by previous tickets holders.

The FAI has warned that there will likely be queues for tickets via the portal for the first few days after it opens on Tuesday morning, but matches that have significant numbers of tickets on sale will be displayed on EURO2016.com, so fans do not have to queue to see what is available.

Only individual tickets in Categories 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be available; accessibility tickets will be available via a lottery portal that is open for applications until April 25 .

MasterCard or Visa are the only credit cards accepted for payment and fans can register their interest now to be notified when tickets for certain matches become available on the portal.

Come on you boys in green!
