Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City have all learned who their opponents will be…

The draw for the last 16 of the Champions League has just been made in Nyon (they never move from there do they?) and there’s some absolute crackers in store.

James Bond villain / UEFA General Secretary, Gianni Infantino, has just  finalised the proceedings and we can all look forward to the following matches.

French champions  PSG will take on Chelsea in a repeat of last year’s dramatic meeting and we’re happy to see Mourinho and Zlatan get another opportunity to rekindle their bromance.

Man City have been paired Barcelona for a second year running after the Spanish giants knocked Pellegrini’s side out of the the competition last season.

Bayer Leverkusen have been resurgent this year but will face an uphill task when they take on last year’s runners up Atletico Madrid.

Juventus against Borussia Dortmund is a cracking tie which sees a repeat of the ’97 final, while Dortmund’s near neighbours Schalke will face the unenviable task of beating the current holders and apparently invincible Real Madrid.

Shakhtar Donestk will face Bayern Munich in a tie that was greeted with happy gasps by Arsenal fans around the world because it means the Gunners will be facing Monaco.

Wenger must be grinning from ear to ear somewhere right now.

The final tie sees Liverpool’s conquerors FC Basel play Porto.

The last 16 is as follows:

PSG v Chelsea

Man City v Barcelona

Bayer Leverkusen v Atletico Madrid

Juventus v Borussia Dortmud

Schalke 04 v Real Madrid

Shakhtar Donetsk v Bayern Munich

Arsenal v Monaco

FC Basel v Porto
