The Friday Flutter: Racing, NFL and Heineken Cup

It’s time for our Friday Flutter again. With no Premier League, we look to racing, NFL and the Heineken Cup to make us a few quid this week.

We scored last week with Spurs doing the business against Aston Villa but Camelot let us down in Paris. As for our very good looking Cristiano Ronaldo to score/Real to win bet, it was scuppered by the mighty Messi.

Anyway, onto this week, where the treble should be available at around 10/1.

Dawn Approach to win the Dewhurst, 2/5

The red-hot favourite only has five to face on Saturday and we just can’t see him beaten. With an eye on next year’s 2000 Guineas, we expect the Jim Bolger trained two-year-old to do the business. At those odds, he better.

Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) to beat the Dallas Cowboys, 20/23

Okay, the Cowboys are coming off a bye week but they are still one of the most unreliable teams in the NFL. They have lost twice already this year, both heavily, and while Baltimore are not a dazzling offence, they should have enough, at home, to see off Tony Romo by at least a touchdown.

Exeter (+5) to beat Leinster, 10/3

Granted, we fully expect Leinster to see off the English raiders and get their Heineken Cup defence off to a winning start. However, with a few niggling injuries looming over the squad, plus Exeter’s fine form across the water, we think this could be a more nervous day than many in blue would like.

A home win via a late penalty by Jonny Sexton will do us, and cover this bet.
