GAAGO, the online streaming service for overseas GAA fans, has taken over from Ulster Bank today.
Backed by RTE and the GAA, GAAGO, a new subscription service for GAA fans outside of Ireland, has become one of the title sponsors of the Football Championship.
The service, whose full details have yet to be announced, will allow anyone overseas to watch games live on a tablet, phone or laptop.
Ulster Bank have ended their spell as sponsors, so GAAGO will sit alongside Eircom and SuperValu for the upcoming Championship.
Páraic Duffy, GAA Director General, is quoted as saying: “GAAGO is a new brand that will require significant levels of exposure and awareness, and sponsorship of the All Ireland Senior Football Championship will provide both in a most effective way.”
What the GAAGO service will cost, or what exactly punters will get for their money, is still not known, but they will certainly grab a lot of headlines with this sponsorship deal.
