He’s a spoofer Bill!
The World Cup has provided JOE with plenty of excitement and drama on the pitch but the TV studio is where most of the laughs are. Like him or loath him, you can’t deny that Eamon Dunphy is pure entertainment. When Eamo isn’t busy with casually dropping F-bombs, making bets about wearing dresses or verbally sparring with Kenny Cunningham, it seems that he also likes to invent Argentinian players in his spare time.
JOE thinks that Messi and co have a very good chance of winning the World Cup but Dunphy isn’t convinced by their imaginary defender Lorenzo. The Liverpool Metro were scathing in their comments about Dunphy. In his defence, JOE can’t say that we know that much about the fictitious centre back also but then again we don’t know much about the Easter bunny, leprechauns or the tooth fairy.
