The three players you need in your Fantasy Football team this week

*Checks watch* It’s squeaky-bum time.

J-League

Since our last bulletin over a fortnight ago, there hasn’t been too much change at the top of the J-League as the leaders seek to consolidate their positions ahead of what should be an eventful run-in.

The top four all posted totals between 74 and 79 points in Gameweek 31 and all stayed in the same places; the only change to the top five being the long overdue arrival of one of our favourite ever Fantasy Football team names, Mark Anderson’s Aidan Carroll is 38, in fifth place.

J-League Top 5

1) Klippity Kloppity – Pairic Sheehan: 1,894 points

2) Comeback Kids – Allan Johnson: 1,882 points

3) Bacuna Mata-ta – Ciaran Tracey: 1,876 points

4) The Turbo Terrific – Tremendous Tom Mulholland: 1,867 points

5) Aidan Carroll is 38 – Mark Anderson: 1,857 points

Gameweek 32

Apart from the relegation battle between Newcastle and Norwich on Saturday afternoon, there’s not a whole lot to get excited about this weekend until the late kick-off on Saturday, when Liverpool will look to inflict serious damage on Spurs’ title hopes at Anfield.

during the Barclays Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and A.F.C. Bournemouth at White Hart Lane on March 20, 2016 in London, United Kingdom.

Should Spurs fail to grab three points in that one, Leicester will go into their meeting with Southampton on Sunday afternoon with huge confidence, while Manchester United’s meeting with Everton at Old Trafford is a decent way to round off the weekend.

This week’s picks

Safe bet: Dimitri Payet (£8.2 million). Confidence will be flowing through the Frenchman’s veins after his magnificent free-kick against Russia on international duty; domestically, he’s on a run of two goals, four assists and 40 points in five league games.

Dark horse: Marcus Rashford (£4.5 million). Can we still call him a dark horse after the impact he’s made in the last month or so? Even if we can’t, he’s managed three goals, an assist and 27 points in four league starts and is a snip at that price.

Captain’s choice: Cesc Fabregas (£8.4 million). One from left-field given the Spaniard’s disappointing season to date, but Chelsea face an Aston Villa side in disarray and Cesc has three goals and 26 points in his last four games.

Potential to use chips

Two teams have a double gameweek next week and there’s a MONSTER double gameweek coming up in Gameweek 34 so we suggest you be like the guy Pulp Fiction era Samuel L Jackson is talking to here…
