The three players you need on your Fantasy Football team this week

It’s that time of week again

Kenneth Savage’s Hillbillys United lead the way just three weeks into the new season, although it’s so tight in the early stages that just 20 points separate first and 42nd place at the moment.

Hot on Kenneth’s heels are B White’s HA HA HA, who might not be laughing next week if two teams just one point behind them, Andy Smith’s Mr Beans Team and Aaron Cooke’s Hakuna Juan Mata, can overtake them this weekend.

Propping up the top five, meanwhile, are Andrew McMahon’s Hamburger S.V, although none of the top teams can get too comfortable just yet as the top five could have a whole new look next week.

Gameweek 4

Vote for Pedro is a message we’re shouting loud and clear this week after the Spaniard’s impressive debut against West Brom last weekend.

Chelsea have had an indifferent start to the season so far but you’d fancy them to take Crystal Palace at home and Pedro to add to his goal, assist and maximum bonus from last Sunday.

Elsewhere, Fantasy managers will be looking to stock their teams with as many in-form Manchester City players as possible, while, for the second week in a row, there’s a dilemma over whether to persist with Wayne Rooney following his Champions League hat-trick midweek.

during the Barclays Premier League match between West Ham United and A.F.C. Bournemouth at the Boleyn Ground on August 22, 2015 in London, England.

We fancy Callum Wilson will be a popular choice following his hat-trick against West Ham, while there’s still a lot of love for Eden Hazard, Riyadh Mahrez and Christian Benteke, three of the top four most selected players in the league.

This week’s picks

Safe bet: Pedro (£9.5 million): We’re putting a lot of faith in Chelsea’s new arrival but he showed his quality last weekend and we expect him to score big this season, especially as he’s classed as a midfielder and is playing in an advanced role up the pitch.

Dark horse: Joe Gomez (£4.7 million): It’s still early days, but you rarely see an 18-year old settle into a big club with as much assurance as Gomez has displayed so far.

*** during the Barclays Premier League match between Arsenal and Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on August 24, 2015 in London, United Kingdom.

Cheap as chips from a Fantasy Football perspective, he’s already earned the trust of nearly one in five managers.

Captain’s choice: Sergio Aguero (£13.2 million): He’s only got one goal in three games so far, but Aguero is about as reliable as you’re going to get in this league.

With City at home to Watford on Saturday, he’s in with a great shout of putting up a big score.

Take a chance on Aguero as triple captain if you must, but we’d still advise holding off until the first double gameweek.
