The Weekend Four-Timer: Premier League soccer and Allianz NFL

Right, the less said about last weekend’s accumulator bet the better. Never mind, we’ll try again with this 28/1 four-timer.

Right, the less said about last weekend’s accumulator bet the better. Never mind, we’ll try again with this 28/1 four-timer.

Blackburn to beat Bolton (2/1)

Blackburn’s only defeat in their last five games has come away to Manchester City. There’s no shame in that, and they look over-priced to take the better of the Lancashire derby against a Bolton side that will still be reeling from the Fabrice Muamba situation.

Rovers travel to the Reebok in search of a third straight win and a third straight clean sheet and they may just get it.

West Brom to beat Newcastle United (13/10)

At well over Evens West Brom also look a tempting bet against Newcastle on Sunday. Yes, the Magpies are flying high in sixth place but their away form hasn’t been great lately while West Brom are in good form, having lost just one of their last five (to Manchester United) and beaten Chelsea in their most recent game at the Hawthorns.

Dublin (-2 points) to beat Donegal (Evens)

All-Ireland champions Dublin will be smarting following last week’s surprise defeat to Down but back at Croke Park and live television tonight they should have too much in reserve for Donegal. Yes, the Donegal men have bounced back from a bad start to take a couple of very encouraging wins against Cork and Mayo last week, but they lost by 11 on their last trip outside the county and the Dubs to win by three at Even money is a no-brainer.

Tyrone (-3 points) to beat Meath (11/10)

Tyrone have won their five Allianz National League games by margins of 5, 12, 6, 9 and 4 points so far, and at home against Meath’s overly generous defence they should be able to rack up another comfortable win on Saturday night.

Yes, Meath have held sway over Tyrone on a few occasions in the past but the Royals class of 2012 don’t look so convincing so far, while Tyrone have ramped things up a bit this year.
