JOE

In this week’s maul, Johnny, Rob and guest contributor Niall Delaney pore over Ireland’s heartbreaking defeat to France, discuss possible changes to the Irish team and Johnny’s international career.

With Malcolm O’Kelly taking a well-earned rest after the birth of his son at the weekend, the lads begin part two by congratulating Malcolm on the new arrival and chat about the impending arrival of Johnny’s child this summer.

The baby chat out of the way, the lads continue their discussion about the France match, with Johnny suggesting that Eoin ‘ham and apples’ Reddan could be introduced ahead of Tomas O’Leary for the Scotland game, while he also talks the lads through how the role of a back row forward has adapted since the new rules have come in.

The lads go over the Magners league action at the weekend, before Niall finishes part two by quizzing Johnny over his international future and whether he ever considered the notion of lining out for England when he was turning heads across the water with his performances for London Wasps.
