Conor McGregor’s penchant for prescience when it comes to his fights has earned him the nickname Mystic Mac from some.
After all, he did exactly predict the manner in which he would knock out Jose Aldo, and was spot on that Alvarez wouldn’t get much further than the first round.
But those were all predictions made closer to the time. How about this one, made all the way back in 2013 after only two fights in the UFC.
“@JunaidMMAhmed: #AskNotorious @TheNotoriousMMA Will you try and get a belt in more than one division in the @ufc” I won't try. I will do.
— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) December 4, 2013
Two years before he’d even claimed his first UFC belt against Aldo, a fan had asked him if he’d “try and get a belt in more than one division in the UFC.”
McGregor responded “I won’t try. I will do.”
As of early this morning, McGregor is the first UFC fighter ever to hold belts from two divisions at once, and he saw it all coming three years ago. Mystic Mac should not be doubted.
