Looks like an official announcement is imminent.

There has been a frenzy of media speculation around Manchester United’s pursuit of Torino’s Italian international right-back, Matteo Darmian in recent days and it looks like it might be about to come to an end.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Torino coach Giampiero Ventura told Sky Sports Italia: “It’s true, Darmian will play in the Champions League with Manchester United.

“Matteo deserves a top team and always dreamed of playing in the Champions League so now that dream will be realised.”

It is thought that Manchester United have agreed a fee worth up to €20 million (£14.3m) with the Italian club for the 25-year old.
