The Spanish goalkeeper was a brick wall at Old Trafford today.
Goals from Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Robin van Persie may have given Manchester United a 3-0 victory over Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday, but it was the performance of David de Gea that really caught the eye.
The Spaniard was sensational, making save after save from both Raheem Sterling and substitute Mario Balotelli, and made sure it was an easy win for the home side.
Im not saying #DeGea kept United in it as 3-0 speaks for itself, however his saves have been key, the initial one from Sterling set the tone

De Gea. A far cry from the timid, young boy who came from Spain. Has a real presence nowadays. #topclass

The difference today has been top quality players in offence. United had them. Liverpool didn’t. Both teams a shadow of what they once where

Good lord, what sort of chance does Balotelli need to get to score here?
