A decent start in Europe for Brendan’s boys.
Being a Liverpool fan ain’t easy these days, but the Merseysiders have made a handy start to life in the Europa League this evening with a 1-1 draw away to Bordeaux.
Liverpool took the lead courtesy of a beautiful Adam Lallana effort, before the hosts pulled level.
Great goal from Adam Lallana! #lfc https://t.co/hLGmeiqlxw

Despite the quality strike and handy result, many Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to share their frustrations…
Rather astounding that Liverpool manage to have 11 men back on corners but no one on the posts… what the hell is everyone doing? — Michael Sweeting (@M_Sweeting) September 17, 2015
So we should accept the “kids” did well when they shouldn’t have even started?? This is Liverpool Football Club in Europe. The mind boggles

FT: Bourdeux 1-1 Liverpool. There is literally nothing to look forward to with Rodgers in charge anymore. #LFC — Ash_LFC (@zodman100) September 17, 2015
Don’t know about you lot but Liverpool have become so depressing to watch it’s the same type of performance over and over again

I think these American owners and Rodgers are in charge of Liverpool just to ruin the team ? — Johnnie Walker™ (@JohnnyAdam92) September 17, 2015
There was some encouragement taken from the result…
Sakho was brilliant. Chirivella was impressive. Would hav taken a draw at start of the game. #LFC #EuropaLeague

Glad that our young lads took part in the game. Hope they will be given more minutes in this competition. #LFC #EuropaLeague — Peter – LFC (@Piciu83) September 17, 2015
A draw away from home to probably our strongest competition in the group is a good result for me #EuropaLeague #LFC

1-1 fair result. Liverpool fielded such a young side; performance was not bad, but not good, either. Ings had the chance to kill the tie. — Sán (@Zizouology) September 17, 2015
Fine with the point in the #EuropaLeague, it’s all about Norwich on Sunday #LFC

It’s back to the Premier League this weekend, as Rodgers’ side will look to get their campaign back on track against Norwich on Sunday.
