The London Olympics are only 100 days away now and Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has just announced how fast he wants to run. Set faces to stunned.

We are all jaded with boxers predicting which rounds they are going to knock their opponent out. Deep down we know it is all about building up the hype so it is best ignored.

One man who doesn’t need to build up any hype is the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt. The Jamaican Olympic champ is the biggest star headed to the London Games and with the big shindig just 100 days away, Bolt has predicted how fast he will run this summer. We think he isn’t joking when he talks about how fast he thinks he can go either.

The 25-year-old has told the BBC that he plans to “amaze the world” and if he runs the times he says he can he will easily do that.

“People are looking forward to me running 9.4, 19 seconds, anything that’s amazing,” Bolt told the Beeb.

Bolt is of course the world record holder at 100m and 200m and his times for both are 9.58secs and 19.19secs. That Bolt thinks he can shave 0.2secs off both times is both terrifying and very exciting.

“If I dominate the Olympics, I’ll be a living legend,” he added. “A living legend walking around. Sounds good.” If Bolt can hit those times he will live on as a legend for ever.

The worry for Bolt is a false start. He lost is world 100m title to compatriot Yohan Blake last year after he was disqualified but he retained his 200m crown.

Just wait for the ‘b’ of the bang Usain and you have a great chance of hitting your incredible prediction.
