It’s complicated.
Here in Ireland, we’ve always had something of a complicated relationship with our neighbours to the east and that complicated relationship is often most clearly evident when it comes to sport.
Whether it’s Irish sports stars being claimed by Britain or our reluctance to support England even when it has no consequences for us, it’s always been somewhat frosty between the two countries and it’s been no different at the Rugby World Cup so far.
The lads at Epic News, Peter and Chris, sought to investigate specifically what it is about English rugby fans that annoys us so, using fictional pundit Nigel Mansfield in an effort to help them get to the bottom of it.
English rugby fans themselves might not agree, but some of you watching will no doubt think there’s a few nails being hit on the head; it should give you a laugh either way.
