With word that Stephen O’Neill is about to call it a day with Tyrone, we’ve decided to look back at some of his best scores from a distinguished career.

It has yet to be officially confirmed but widespread reports today suggest that Tyrone duo Martin Penrose and Stephen O’Neill are about to bring the curtain down on their inter-county careers.

Penrose was a member of the Tyrone All-Ireland winning sides of 2005 and 2008, while O’Neill was also on board when the Red Handers lifted Sam Maguire for the first time in the county’s history after victory over Armagh in 2003.

Both men gave fantastic service to the county throughout their careers and without wanting to disrespect Penrose, he doesn’t quite have the same highlights reel that O’Neill has amassed over the years; looking back at some of the best scores from his career (see below) will never get old.

We’d like to wish Stephen and Martin all the best in their retirement.
