The two biggest favourites of the Copa America, Brazil and hosts Argentina, have bought got off to stuttering starts, yet at least the Argies can revel in this strike.
Expected to run riot over Bolivia, Argentina left it extremely late to salvage a point, after an incredible strike from unsettled Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero spared their blushes in the final ten minutes.
With a lacklustre 1-1 draw for Argentina in the opening tournament match on Friday and an incredibly disappointing 0-0 draw for Brazil against Venezuela last night, the South American giants have failed to live up to their fans lofty expectations thus far.
As thankful as Argentina fans must feel for Kun’s strike, featured above, hot favourites for his signature, Juventus, won’t be too pleased. The Turin club allegedly put in a renewed €40m bid for the 23-year-old, as they seek to tie up a transfer before his valuation rises even higher or before Real Madrid come sniffing around.
Either way, if Aguero keeps saving the Argies as he did Friday night, he could yet become the most highly-prized player of the summer season.
