Garryowen youngster Dara Shanahan channeled his inner Francois Steyn during training with the club’s 3rds side recently.
The 19-year-0ld, who is actually a backrow, is one of the best kickers at the club and he proved that in some style.
Dara had been pinging over penalties from 65-metres when his friend John Paul Baggot challenged him to have a go from 70-metres.
Dara was up for the challenge and here’s what happened.
If Dara Shanahan isn’t the first choice kicker at Garryowen very soon, they must have some talent at the club, some range by him.
Also, that “Oh Jesus Christ” at the end. Brilliant.
