A tribute to one of the Premier League’s greatest ever midfielders.
Back when Arsenal were invincible, Patrick Vieira was the leading charge.
On this day in 1996, the Frenchman made his bow in English football and set about redefining the typical top flight midfield player.
It all started with a substitute appearance for the injured Ray Parlour against Sheffield Wednesday at Highbury, where Vieira helped his new team mates come from a goal down to win 4-1.
It was a sign of things to come.
