UFC undefeated Middleweight champion Anderson Silva was at it again last night as he pummelled Stephan Bonnar in the first round.
Silva was impressive as he stood directly in front of Bonnar with his hands down dodging his middleweight challenger’s punches with ease before landing a nasty knee to finish as you can see above.
So what’s next for the pound-for-pound king? Silva says he wants to fight a returning from injury Georges St-Pierre, while UFC President Dana White wants him to fight light-heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones.
“I know this: the Georges St-Pierre fight is a big fight,” White said after UFC 153. “I think the Jon Jones fight is a big fight. I know my man says, ‘No, no, no,’ but the amount of money that would be offered for that fight, I guarantee you I will make Anderson Silva say, ‘Yes, yes, yes.’”
It’s a cliché but if either fight happens there’ll only be one winner: mixed martial arts fans.
