Josh Childress of the Sydney Kings made ribbons out of opponent Jesse Wagstaff.
Former NBA star Childress is facing a lengthy ban for this attack on the Perth player, which happened late in the third quarter of Friday night’s win for the Wildcats.
Wildcats coach Trevor Gleeson said: “I thought it was a pretty cheap shot.
“There’s no room for that in our game. I hope the league takes a stand on it because it wasn’t deserved. You do that in AFL and you’re out. Anything around the head is a no-no.”
