Their upcoming fight in Dublin in July just got even more interesting…

There’s a long time to wait yet but last week’s confirmation (of the poorly kept secret) that Conor McGregor would be going head to head with Cole Miller in the Octagon in Dublin has MMA fans on this side of the world anxiously awaiting the UFC event at the O2 in a little over two months’ time.

Despite injury keeping him out of action since last August, McGregor had already been bullish about his prospects on home turf on UFC Tonight last week and he stepped up a notch when engaging in a war of words with his direct opponent on the MMA Hour yesterday that, as Ron Burgundy, escalated very quickly.

As we know by now, McGregor isn’t afraid to put a few noses out of joint but either is Miller and having referred to McGregor as ‘Colin McGoober’ when calling him out in Manchester at the end of last year, Miller wasn’t about to back down when the shouting started over the phone lines as host Ariel Helwani did his best to mediate.

We seem to have lost the clip but you can see it all on mmafighting.com here

At over 40 minutes, the clip is quite long but if you have enough of an interest it’s very entertaining, with, as you would expect from McGregor, some zingers towards his next opponent, including our personal favourite, “You’re the slowest mother**ker I’ve ever seen”.

As if we needed another reason to look forward to UFC Dublin, we’ve just got it. They gonna get it on ‘cos they don’t get along.
