Video: Conor McGregor on Chad Mendes: “I’m going to demolish him. I’m going to rip his head off”

No holding back

You’ve been warned Chad.

UFC fans are waking up to this morning to the news that Jose Aldo has pulled out of a title bout with Conor McGregor at UFC 189, news that did not go down very well at all.

It’s not all bad, however, as Chad Mendes has been lined-up to fight McGregor instead and is a pretty decent replacement, but the Notorious certainly isn’t spooked by his new opponent.

McGregor appeared on SportsCenter alongside Dana White to speak about the Aldo withdrawal and the upcoming bout with Mendes, of whom he said: “I’m going to demolish him. I’m going to rip his head off.”

Asked how long Mendes will last against him, McGregor said that within four minutes Mendes would be unconscious, with ‘The Notorious’ adding that he would “toy with him a little bit”.

McGregor also suggested that Aldo’s injury offered him a “way out” of fighting him and that even on the promotional tour for the fight he suspected Aldo was reluctant to face him, saying he was “beaten mentally before I had to chance to beat him physically”.
