The countdown begins.
Conor McGregor is currently preparing for a different test this afternoon after learning that Nate Diaz will be stepping into the octagon to face him next Saturday. Rafael dos Anjos pulled out of the fight after suffering a very nasty broken foot, prompting the rumour mill to go into overdrive.
It didn’t seem to phase McGregor though because he’s more than happy to step up to welterweight for the bout and he’s putting in the hard work already.

UFC President Dana White confirmed that Jose Aldo did turn down the chance of a rematch with The Notorious. As you may know, McGregor famously ended Aldo’s unbeaten run and claimed the UFC featherweight belt last December with a 13 second victory over the Brazilian, but White also that confirmed there was a long list of other potential opponents for McGregor to face at UFC 196.
