Warning: watching this doesn’t get any easier…
There was plenty of doom and gloom around the country at around 10pm on Friday night as we were left wondering about our international football team.
We lost 1-0 away to Scotland in EURO 2016 qualifying which isn’t anything to be ashamed of but the manner of the defeat was so disappointing.
The winning goal by Shaun Maloney was outstanding though. Sure our defenders could have gotten a lot tighter on the Scottish attacker but the move was sharp, slick and clinical.
This fan footage shows a different perspective and it also gives you a bit more appreciation for the move and finish. It still hurts though.
