Their rematch is fast approaching…
August 20 is the date and the clash is Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz in a welterweight rematch following their last fight in March.
But what do you remember of the original fight? Was it McGregor dominating the first round as he opened up old scar tissue on Diaz’s face? Or was it McGregor flattened out and tapping to a rear naked choke?
There’s no doubting the Dubliner started well and Diaz looked like a man who’d done very little sparring over the previous weeks and hence his timing and rhythm were a bit off for the opening round.
That changed in the second round when Diaz caught McGregor with a left and hurt him, and with 2:22 left in the second round, he’s plenty of time to get to work and finish the fight.
