Louis Smolka defeated hometown hero Paddy Holohan to deafening silence in front of the Dublin crowd tonight.
After a competitive first round where Holohan seemed to take the upper hand for brief moments, Smolka took it to him in the second, eventually winning by rear-naked choke.
Holohan was cheered by the 3Arena crowd despite the defeat, having clearly given the fight all he had.

Asked what he was going to do now that fight was over, Holohan won a lot of respect from the crowd by telling them he was heading to have a cup of tea.
