VIDEO: Irish fans on Grafton Street perform singalong while clearing boxes after the match

Colm Boohig

A kind gesture on a wonderful night for Ireland.

If you were out in Dublin on Wednesday night after Ireland’s famous victory over Italy then you were involved in the widespread celebrations, even if you hadn’t originally planned to participate.

While the capital city was in great spirits throughout the night, some supporters inevitably got over-excited, with JOE reader Joanna Cruise, who works on Grafton Street, telling us that the rubbish neatly gathered outside their business was thrashed.

That was until some very happy and generous fans came along to help them clean up, combined with a chirpy tune to boot, with Joanna managing to get a quick video of it happening.

“Clean up, for the Boys in Green.”

Another JOE reader, Amy Duggan, was also in the area at the time, capturing this great footage.

Fantastic stuff altogether.

Cheers to Joanna Cruise and Amy Duggan for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, editorial@JOE.ie or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter.
