A week of tungsten pyrotechnics is in store for all darts fans this week as the World Grand Prix swings into action at Citywest. The Dublin venue will play host to 32 of the world’s best players in the most exciting format in the game; double in, double out.

World champion Adrian Lewis was in great form and he tells us how much he loves playing in front of the Irish crowd. Fermanagh’s Brendan Dolan and Limerick’s William O’Connor were both excited by the prospect of facing each other in the second round, if all went well in their first round match, while Aussie Simon Whitlock is hoping to carry his recent super form into this week.

Finally, we caught up with Raymond van Barneveld who told us all about the unique pressure this tournament brings. It certainly whetted out appetite for the week ahead and you can catch all the action on Sky Sports 1 from 7pm tonight.

The World Grand Prix runs at Citywest from October 8-14. We have VIP packages to the event to give away courtesy of McCoy’s so click here for your chance to win.
