In 25 pro fights Nate Diaz had never been knocked out. Josh Thomson changed that with a stunning kick in his hometown of San Jose last night.

The UFC fighter finished proceedings shortly after the mid-point of the second round, landing a smashing head kick that put Diaz down, before the towel was quickly thrown in.
The victory was Thomson’s first since 2004 after competing in PRIDE and Strikeforce, and losing his two comeback fights in the UFC.
He is certainly back with a bang now.
