He has a step that reminds us of a young John Hayes…
Connacht claimed a historic 10-9 victory over Leinster last Friday night and one of the highlights of the game, along with some bone crunching hits, was Kieran Marmion’s fantastic solo try in the second half.
Picking the ball up near halfway, Marmion did a trademark sniping run to break the line before pulling off a goose-step that well… a goose would be proud of, avoiding the onrushing Rob Kearney and snatching the win for Connacht.
The western province have three wins out of three this season and sit third in the Pro12 table behind Glasgow and the Ospreys. Connacht will have a chance to leap frog the Scottish team when they face Glasgow away this weekend.
While this may be a step too far for this young Connacht side, let’s bask in the glory of this fine try from Friday night once again.
