Cristiano Ronaldo banged in a hat-trick for Real Madrid on Saturday against Celta Vigo to cement Madrid’s position as the current Kings of the La Liga castle.
Magic Messi is never a man to be overshadowed (except by taller people around him), however, and he responded with a sublime hat-trick against Espanyol last night as Barcelona came from behind to win 5-1.
The Argentinian maestro scored his first in the dying moments of the opening half and added to this with a brace in the second half to move Barcelona up to second place in La Liga, two points behind their Real rivals.
After his initial leveller above, his second half brace brought his tally to 20 goals this season, while Ronaldo is currently at the top of the scoring charts with 29 goals in all competitions…
