Somehow, we don’t think Conor will be running scared.
Plenty of fighters wanted to take Conor McGregor down a peg before his stunning victory over Jose Aldo last weekend and the queue hasn’t got any shorter since last Saturday night.
Last night, at UFC on Fox 17 in Orlando, lightweight Nate Diaz had only one thing on his mind after defeating Michael Johnson and that was to deliver a message to a man who’s probably the biggest name in the UFC right now.
Diaz’s message to McGregor wasn’t exactly subtle and we can only hope that not too many young children had stayed up past their bedtime to watch it, because he unleashed a volley of curse words in a rant at The Notorious before Joe Rogan eventually called a halt after about 30 seconds.

Will Diaz be the next man to step into the Octagon with McGregor?
McGregor would have to move up to lightweight as he has talked about and it seems a big step up for Diaz, a man who won only two of his previous five fights before last night.
