“For 20 years Man United had an identity… the last three years they’ve gone away from that.”
Manchester United tasted defeat to a far superior Liverpool side in the first leg of their Europa League encounter tonight, with the visitors putting in a display that left United fans fuming.
If it wasn’t for David de Gea, Louis van Gaal’s side would have conceded more than the two goals scored by Daniel Sturridge and Robert Firmino and as you would expect, Paul Scholes didn’t hold back in the BT Sport studio after the game.
The passion in Scholes’ voice was evident as he railed against the latest in a series of insipid performances from the Red Devils and plenty of fans on social media felt that the Manchester United legend hit the nail on the head with a scathing critique of his old club.
